Fund A Need

Tonight’s Fund-A-Need is $120,000 to replace our mini-chiller. Our main chiller cools almost every building on campus: the elementary, junior high and high school, the activity center, the fieldhouse, and the church. The mini-chiller is its back-up partner, and it has been down for a while. During this summer’s long heat, the main chiller couldn’t keep up on its own. When school started, some classrooms reached the upper 70s in the afternoon. Weekend afternoon Masses were stuffy and warm. Some of us may have added “a cool breeze” to our prayer intentions. A new mini-chiller keeps our buildings comfortable. It also takes pressure off the main chiller, so it lasts longer. Anything raised over $120,000 helps cover the cost of connecting the new unit to our controls system.
